About Geselle
master STYLIST
For 14 years, Geselle Marie worked inside some of Downtown Los Angeles's most demanding salons the kind of environment where technique is everything, standards are uncompromising, and clients don't come back if the work isn't exceptional.
Three years ago, she brought that training to Santa Cruz.
What that means for you: the precision of an LA color specialist, the eye of a stylist who spent over a decade refining her craft in one of the most competitive beauty markets in the world right here in Capitola. Clients who have worked with highly trained stylists in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York recognize the difference immediately. Clients who haven't are often surprised that this level of work is available on the coast.
Geselle trained under Anh Co Tran — one of the most respected hair artists in the country and studied with top Vidal Sassoon artists in Downtown LA. Her specialty is dry cutting: shaping hair in its natural fall, so the cut works with your texture and lifestyle every single day, not just when you leave the salon. Her color work balayage, blonding, and smoothing treatments including Brazilian blowouts is built around the same principle: low-maintenance results that look intentional weeks after your appointment.
As a mother of three, she also understands that most people don't have time to spend an hour styling their hair every morning. Her goal is always a result that's effortless to maintain and genuinely suits your life.
If you've been looking for an LA level stylist without the drive this is it.

── CUTS ──
Signature Dry Cut
$100 – $145
The dry cut is Geselle's signature and the technique that sets LA-trained stylists apart. By cutting hair in its natural state rather than wet, she sees exactly how your hair falls, moves, and behaves in real life. The result is a shape built for your actual texture, not the blow-dried version of it. Whether it's a lived-in long layer, a precise bob, or a shape designed to work with a curl pattern, this is the cut that holds up between appointments.
── BALAYAGE / Highlights ──
Mini Balayage / Highlight:
From $180
A targeted refresh for clients who are already blonde or highlighted and just need to keep things looking current. Geselle brightens the face frame and part line the areas that catch the lightest and make the biggest impact. Quick to do, slow to grow out. Perfect for maintaining that just-back-from-LA look between full appointments.
Partial Balayage / Highlight
From $225
Brightness and dimension through the top, sides, and face frame the area’s most visible when your hair is down or pulled back. Geselle uses the hand-painting and foiling techniques she refined over 14 years in Los Angeles to place color exactly where it reads as natural. Not too much, not too little just the right amount of light.
Full Balayage / Highlight
From $325
All-over dimension from root to end top, sides, and underneath layers. This is the service for first-time blondes, clients who haven't had color in a year or more, or anyone who wants a complete refresh. Geselle formulates every application for your specific starting color and goal, using the same LA-caliber technique that makes the color look just as good at eight weeks as it does walking out the door.
Transformation Blonde
From $400
For clients who are ready to go significantly lighter transitioning from brunette to blonde, lifting heavily grown-out color, or making a real change. This is a full-day commitment, and a process Geselle takes seriously: the goal is maximum lift with minimum damage, using techniques she spent years developing in environments where results had to be both dramatic and healthy. Expect 4–6 hours and a transformation worth it.
── COLOR ──
All Over Color
From $145
A rich, even base color applied from root to end. Whether you want to go deeper, warmer, cooler, or simply cover new growth with a consistent shade, Geselle custom formulates every color to complement your skin tone and existing hair. Finished with a gloss for shine and longevity.
Express Root Touch-Up
From $85
A fast, focused service that targets new growth at the root and brings your color back to where it belongs. Ideal for clients on a maintenance schedule who want to stay sharp between longer appointments.
Gloss / Glaze / Toner
From $120
The finishing step that separates a good color from a great one. A gloss or toner refreshes tone, eliminates brassiness, adds mirror-like shine, and makes highlights look freshly done even weeks in. Often added at the end of a color or balayage appointment and absolutely available as a standalone service when your color just needs a reset.
Grey Coverage & Blending
From $120
Two approaches, one conversation. Full coverage hides greys completely for a uniform, polished result. Blending softens them weaving the grey into the surrounding color so it reads as intentional dimension rather than regrowth. Geselle will walk you through which option suits your hair, your maintenance preference, and how you want to look and feel.
Color Correction
Consultation required
For hair that needs more than a standard color service — fixing a previous color gone wrong, removing old box dye, reversing a bad bleach job, or making a significant shade change. Geselle approaches corrections with the diagnostic mindset she developed in high end LA salons: assess first, formulate precisely, execute in stages if needed. Always a consultation before booking.
── SMOOTHING TREATMENTS ──
Brazilian Blowout
From $300
The gold standard for frizz-free, manageable hair and one of the most requested services Geselle performs. Results last up to 12 weeks and hold up against Santa Cruz coastal humidity, salt air, and heat. Hair dries faster, styles more easily, and stays smooth longer. Formaldehyde-free formula available for sensitive scalps.
Signature Smoothing Treatment
From $225
Powered by Sweet Professional, this formaldehyde-free, heat-activated treatment uses amino acids, Pro-Vitamin B5, almond oil, and creatine to deeply hydrate, repair, and smooth. FDA-approved and organically based results last up to 3 months and are resistant to heat, humidity, chlorine, and salt water. The right choice for clients who want lasting smoothness with a clean formula.
Express Keratin Blowout
From $115
Instantly softer, shinier, more manageable hair in a single session — without the full commitment of a smoothing treatment. This is not a straightening service; it eliminates frizz, boosts shine, and makes styling significantly easier. Results last up to 6 weeks. Perfect for a refresh between full treatments or for clients who want to try smoothing for the first time.
── ADD-ONS ──
Add-On: Precision Haircut
